Food Photography
I am deeply inspired by color and texture, light and shadow when it comes to food. I lean towards simplicity in styling, allowing the food to be the Main Character in every project.
Bringing your vision to life in my home studio is always thrilling. I prefer using natural light when the environment cooperates but I’m skilled and equipped with artificial light for on-location shoots and times when natural light is not an option.
My ultimate goal is to tell the story of your product or service in a way that establishes a connection, builds trust, and ultimately, garners loyalty with your clients and customers.
The Process and What To Expect
01.
Discovery Call
We’ll chat about your needs, goals for the images, and review the production and post-production process. When we work together, the end goal is not simply to create pretty photos. We are working towards images that build connection with your ideal customers/clients, garner trust and loyalty to your brand, and ultimate increase your business and revenue. Following our call, I’ll send over my contract and a shoot questionnaire.
02.
Pre-Production
After the contract is signed and the questionnaire is completed, I’ll put together a mood board and begin sourcing props and backgrounds for your approval. When the color story, lighting preferences, shoot likes/dislikes, etc have been established and the products have been delivered or acquired (if applicable), we’ll set a date for the shoot and review the final details. After that, picture time!
03.
Post-Production
After the shoot, I will edit the final photos and deliver the agreed-upon number of images via a private online gallery. If you’d prefer to see a proofing gallery before the images are edited and finalized, we will plan that out prior to Shoot Day. In the instance of a proofing gallery, that will be sent within 24-48 hours of the shoot for your approval (possibly day-of depending on scheduling).

I’ve shot 35mm and medium format film as well as digital, experimented in the darkroom as well as Lightroom/Photoshop, and have successfully approached my business in my own differentiated way that works for me, even if it goes against all those “shoulds” the industry says are necessary.
