Postmates + Bachelorette Collaboration

What do The Bachelorette and Salt & Straw have in common?

People really need to go into it for the right reasons. ;)

This shoot was a collab with Postmates and The Bachelorette featuring ice cream from Salt & Straw. The client wanted the focus to be primarily on the idea of indulgent snacks for optimum TV-viewing pleasure as the photos were used to promote a special Postmates discount that ran specifically on the night this particular season of The Bachelorette premiered. They also preferred “light and bright” photos that highlighted the keepsake delivery bag clients received with each order. I added in the roses as a styling element for two reasons: 1) even though I’ve never seen a single episode of either The Bachelor or The Bachelorette I do know the “rose ceremony” is a key component of the show and 2) I really liked how the red of the roses emphasized the red text on the bag.

Ultimately, we opted for a local ice cream shop that utilizes Postmates for their delivery services, rather than a Big Box brand, as a way of emphasizing support for local shops. Salt & Straw is a fave in the Bay Area and if you ever head over to Disneyland, they have a location in Downtown Disney as well. They’re a personal fave of mine because they have some of the most delicious gluten-free and dairy-free ice cream flavors I’ve ever tasted!
